Member of a group of performance pilots who call themselves Esquadrilha da Fumaça (The Smoke Squadron) nosedived into the ground in a stunt gone bad, turning his small plane into a huge fireball, killing himself on the spot. Miraculously, despite there being people to watch the airshow, the pilot crashed into an area with no spectators so aside from him, nobody else was hurt.
The airshow was part of the celebration commemorating the anniversary of the airport in Lages, Santa Catarina.

It happened in Belem, state of Para, Brazil. A single engine Cessna model 210L was on its way from Chaves on Marajo Island to Belem and crashed onto a road in the middle of the city while approaching Belem’s Brigadeiro Protasio airport. Seven people, including pilot were injured, one of the passengers – a woman in her 20′s died en route to hospital.
